LINGUA IDEALE

EXPERIENCES

Lingua Ideale allows its students to learn the language both in the classroom and through complete immersion in Italian culture, arts, and flavors.

Periodically, cooking and artisan workshops (such as leather working, handcrafted ceramics, etc.), excursions, and various cultural experiences are organized.

All activities are conducted in Italian to make learning more enjoyable, and each event is organized in collaboration with local artisans.

Kite Workshop

Kites are one of Urbino’s most beloved symbols, and their handcrafting is an ancient and fascinating tradition.

Since 1955, every September, the Festa dell’Aquilone (Kite Festival) has been held, a lively competition between the town’s districts, where visitors can admire vibrant kites soaring above the skies of Urbino.

Together with the volunteers from the association Le Contrade di Urbino, Lingua Ideale offers its students the opportunity to create a true kite by using tissue paper, bamboo canes, vinyl glue, and string.

Pasta making class

One of the most popular experiences is definitely the cooking class.
Italian food has always been appreciated all over the world, and the cooking class we offer is an authentic experience and one of the best memories our students take back home.
All together we learn how to make pasta from scratch (tagliatelle, strozzapreti, maltagliati… you name it!), and at the end of the workshop we go to the table and eat what we have prepared.
A memorable experience in the name of good food and good wine, in farmhouses located in the beautiful hills surrounding Urbino.

Guided Tours

In collaboration with local tour operators and licensed tour guides, Lingua Ideale organizes guided tours for its students in Urbino (Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, the Oratories of Saint John and Saint Joseph, Raphael Birthplace Home, Diocesan Museum) and other art cities, including, just to name a few, Florence, Gradara, Gubbio, Ravenna, Rome, Verona.

Artisan Workshop

Lingua Ideale has always collaborated with the best artisans around Urbino who, with their activity and their creations, represent the excellence of the area.

Our students love to participate, among others, in the workshops of leather working or handcrafted ceramics.
