After graduating in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Urbino «Carlo Bo» I taught Italian in Italy and abroad. The didactics of foreign languages in general, and of Italian as L2/FL more specifically, is my special field of research and teaching at the University. The CLIL teaching method and the use of new technologies are an integral part of my lesson planning work. Being an expert in the didactics of Italian as L2/FL, I teach in workshops for Italian and foreign teachers working in this field at all levels of education, from elementary school to University. Finally, I'm a teaching tutor in charge of stages for teachers of Italian L2/FL. After graduating in Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the University of Urbino, I decided to go get a closer look at what I had been studying on books. Thus, I packed my suitcase and off I went for a studying-trip to China. When I came back from my trip to Beijing I found, thanks to a stage, my great passion: teaching. So I thought I would specialize in teaching and I attend the Master's degree in Teaching Italian to Foreigners at the University of Urbino. Since 2009, I have started cooperating with several private and state schools in the province of Pesaro Urbino, as a teacher of Italian L2. My big passions are art, especially Chinese art, reading and of course travelling which, at each time, makes me discover and fall in love with different languages and cultures.

Alessandra Gramolini

My experience as language assistant in Germany, short before graduating in Foreign Languages and Cultures at the University of Urbino, was key to discovering my true passion: teaching Italian to foreigners with an intercultural perspective. I thus decided to specialize in this field and attend the Master's Degree in Didactics of Italian for Foreigners in Urbino, turning my passion into a profession. I taught at the Dante Alighieri School, also cooperating in life-long learning courses for teachers of Italian as FL/L2, and I have worked with foreign students of all ages and nationalities in several local state schools. I love travelling and getting to know new languages and cultures, playing the piano and taking walks on the beach and in the countryside.

I decided to study Chinese in University and I graduated in Eastern Languages and Cultures in Rome. Since then, my passion for far-eastern cultures and languages and my interest in getting to know foreign cultures through their languages, have never stopped growing. I lived in China for some years, where I attended Advanced Chinese classes and worked as an Italian teacher at the University of Foreign Studies of Guangdong and at the University of Shandong. To delve into my interest in language learning I attended specialization courses in teaching Italian as a second language and in Italian and Chinese linguistics. I am doing my PhD degree at the University of Urbino "Carlo Bo" with a research on the analysis of linguistic difficulties of Chinese students of Italian as a second language. I have taught Italian to foreigners, especially to Chinese speaking students, for some years now.
